#LullysList | My take on Glow Graphic tights

It’s been so fun making the collaboration with Glow Co come to fruition and I could finally wear Glow Graphic tights during yoga a few days ago. I would like to share with you my feedback but first! I understand that there are some ladies who are not comfortable wearing fitted tights for workout as it clashes with a Muslimah’ dress code. Here are some of my thoughts about my preference in wearing compression tights for workout. 1) Exercising is hard but the moment I put on compression tights, I felt strong and ready to do my best; especially during High Intesity Interval training.  2) The purpose of compression garments helps to hold muscles firmly in place and improve blood...

Lully's List | Trying out Chinese Painting

We received so much love for the recent collaboration with Sijun and Shalom and I was inspired to paint. For the past four weeks, I attended a class on Chinese Painting. I thought it was going to be a breeze but apparently not! There are two styles- traditional aka realistic  and freestyle. I get to try both!  In Chinese painting, the painters will practice many rounds, perfecting every strokes before creating their masterpieces swiftly in minutes. I don't think I have the patience to do that! The first lesson was painting bamboo shoots. The leaves were the hardest! The way I should start and end with a sharp tip.  The second lesson was quite fun learning how to paint flowers...

#Selbsseries | Collaboration over Competition

Hey guys,  Thank you so so much for the overwhelming support for our latest campaign #LSwithyou. It's really encouraging to know you love the prints done by Sijun and Shalom and we're sure gonna continue this campaign. It's currently out of stock, but if you really want it, pls email or DM us ya. This year we had a few collaborations; one which was showcased at Buckingham Palace, a Take A Pause Workshop we did with Aida Azlin and Asha, working with awesome photographers, videographers, models and other artists. I learnt so much about their artistry and it was really effective when we work in teams rather than doing things solo. If there's one important key take-away from this; I...

#lullyslist | Thoughts process behind #LSwithyou

It's been a week since the launch of new prints by Sijun and Shalom and guess what?! Their prints are sold out! Thank you so much for the overwhelming response! When I was about to design new prints with Sijun's Underwater series, it felt natural as I've worked with his previous paintings before. This time there are more layers and textures and it was fun to arrange the layout for the shawl designs. Despite the fun, it was quite challenging because the paintings were very colorful with lots of details. We had to make sure every shawl is not too bright and wearable. This is one cute moment of Sijun I'd like to share. This was told by his teacher Nancy...

#Selbsseries | My old treasures of Art

Hey Lully Selb Squad,  My parents have been busy lately packing to shift out of their place and week after week, they would call me to collect my old stuff. Ever since I have my own place last year, I always thought I have brought all my things over but apparently, I still have many old treasures mainly my art works. Just last week, my sisters and I gathered and looked through all of our works and we were so surprised to see drawings from our primary school days. This sketchbook particularly got my attention - Developing Prints! Look at how manual I did it, days before I was proficient in Photoshop. And I actually forgot that I enjoy the...
