#Selbsseries | Collaboration over Competition

Hey guys,

Thank you so so much for the overwhelming support for our latest campaign #LSwithyou. It's really encouraging to know you love the prints done by Sijun and Shalom and we're sure gonna continue this campaign. It's currently out of stock, but if you really want it, pls email or DM us ya.

This year we had a few collaborations; one which was showcased at Buckingham Palace, a Take A Pause Workshop we did with Aida Azlin and Asha, working with awesome photographers, videographers, models and other artists. I learnt so much about their artistry and it was really effective when we work in teams rather than doing things solo. If there's one important key take-away from this; I truely believe in collaboration over competition. With today's technology, ideas are every, competition is even more obvious so why not come together then fight with one an another. Especially in this little sunny island, we're all in this together=)

Speaking of collaborations, I'd to share a few upcoming interesting projects I'm working on. Lully and I together with 5 other girlfriends formed a group called BE Kollective. Our purpose is to create art purposefully and  at the same time use this platform to create awareness of the under privileged groups. We had a few exhibitions where we raised awareness for the elderly with dementia and this time round we are doing an exhibition at URA, partnering individuals with special needs. It's so exciting because we work hand in hand with them to produce the artworks, as well as expand them into merchandise! I will be producing shawls for you guys and the theme is peranakan tiles!

Why I chose Peranakan tiles?

When I was pregnant with Iman, I was teaching at Haig Girls. I used to walk along the little cute peranakan houses at Joo Chiat Road and always intrigued by the designs. Their windows, doors and floorings are unique, making my walk a very interesting one. Since we are exhibiting at URA, we are creating pieces along the theme of Singapore/Local.

My partner Jie Wei, who has some learning difficulties, is very good with batik. So we decided to work on peranakan designs and tiles onto batik pieces. Here are some of the behind the scenes.

Wish me luck guys!

Another cool collab that we've been working on for the past months, *drum rolls* is with Nawal, founder of Nawal Haddad Fitness and now another online platform GLOWco

Lully Selb

GLOWco is the go to shopping destination for the urban, modest and active women. Nawal and her brand developer Nadia felt that there is a lack in options for comfortable, practical and modest active wear and so they started hunting for brands to curate on their platform.

We're super excited to debut with them a capsule collection featuring signature Lully Selb prints.

After many many rounds of speaking with suppliers, sampling, getting the best price and most importantly high quality performance fabric, I really cant wait to get my hands on these active wear. Now we really got no excuse to exercise and still look good!

Launching in October guys.... keep a look out!
