I met Selma for our weekly meeting yesterday and discussed about our plans for the upcoming year. The meeting was brief yet we both were able to throw good ideas and we’re excited for it! Albeit the busy year ahead, to keep me grounded, here are 3 of my new year resolutions!
December is here and the team is getting busier in the next few weeks. It has been an exciting journey with a fair share of tough times for the LS team. I decided to sit through the morning and reflect on 3 things I’ve learnt this year.
Stripes come in different thickness and one can never have enough striped tees. While designing our Nautical Collection, I had a hard time coming out with stripes design that screams Lully Selb! Instead of making stripes digitally, I tried using basic drawing tool- the mighty blackest of black charcoal stick! Charcoal sticks or pencils come in a variety of blackness and they are either soft or hard to blend. There is even loose charcoal pigment available at art shops!
It was a busy afternoon when a group of art educators sat down and finishing art work preparation while some were having a brief training for the next art lesson. Someone just said, “Hey, let’s have a group exhibition!”
Last weekend, my girlfriends of fifteen years and I went for our first trip out of Singapore. Being such adreanline junkie, we went to Sunway Lagoon for a short escapade. Once we checked in at Sunway Resort Suites, we changed into our wet activity gear. I wore my sister’s Burqini with an additional onesie tudung. We went for dry and wet rides one after another. Unlike the Universal Studio here, we could stay in our seats and request for another ride. My chest felt tired from the screaming and we waited for the waves at the pool. Funny encounters happened!
