Hybrida is an original painting done by Karen Lesslar. Celebrating the success of the women in her life, she chose to paint flowers.
When asked why flowers, 'Because it signifies the strength of women; their ability to be tough and strong yet remaining gentle and loving.
Her painting is done by pen and watercolour, with tiny details where she patiently drew the dots one at a time.
How we created it?
For those who have been following us, you know we are not so big on florals. This is an exception, because we feel strongly with her design story. To give the print a stronger look, we made some of the flowers in bold shapes and kept them in shades of pink and red which were from her original works.

About the artist
Karen is young at heart and face! She is a mother of 2 and her eldest is already 21. Unbelievable right?! Her flexible working hours as an art educator allows her to paint and draw everyday. Truly, she's living the dream for any artist!
