While most people would simply walk past them, Ocean was inspired by the cranes at the construction site as the way they lined up was visually interesting as a landscape. She recreated the familiar scene of construction at Tiong Bahru using a mix of chinese painting and printing.
How we created it?
To highlight the beautiful strokes of chinese paint, we kept the rest of the shawl clean minimal and played with the same theme of 'Cranes' with our own interpretation of origami paper cranes as a playful pattern.

About the artist
Ocean Goh has been involved in design and comics for many years before devoting her time to art education and practicing her arts. After graduating from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, she went on to Vancouver Film School to pursue animation study. Joining the creative team at a comic/ character design creative house (FUNics Productions) years ago exposed her to comic production and teaching. Her training in visual arts and animation contributed to her whimsical style; a montage of cartoony and realistic elements.
