I'm sure you've seen some nice watercolour art prints online or at retail stores. How about making your own from scratch?  At the comfort of your home too!  In my case, I did it in my living room. As for  the materials, you will need- -watercolour paper(buy it loose piece or a pad)  or a piece from your younger sibling's drawing block -watercolour cake or in tube form -white gouache paint *optional -assorted brushes -toothpick or wooden stick -tissue papers -chinese ink -water container -a placemat or newspaper to protect your working area from stains **you can get some of these materials from Popular or Art Friend.   I prefer to have torn edges for my paper.  Step 1- Choose...

#lullyslist | 2017 Resolutions

I met Selma for our weekly meeting yesterday and discussed about our plans for the upcoming year. The meeting was brief yet we both were able to throw good ideas  and we're excited for it! Albeit the busy year ahead, to keep me grounded, here are 3 of my new year resolutions!    1) Make more art! Be it good art or bad art, the process is very important for me; in terms of building my visual language. Make more art anyway! A conducive and quiet environment is needed for me to work on my creative juices. There are days when I dont't feel like going out just so I can take my time to produce prints for LullySelb.  Just...

It seems like it was only yesterday that I was gathering inspiration for last year's Eid moodboard.  A few collections later, I'm especially nervous for the next one! I'm sure by now some of you have already started hunting for your 1st day outfit. Who wouldn't want to look pretty for Eid #ootd right? Here's a peek at what goes into designing a Lully Selb collection... After launching our Summer Shadows collection, we'd received such a great response for using pastel colours in our mashed up geometry shawl. So we decided to stick to the pantone colours of the year; Rose Quartz and Serenity. As a start to designing the prints, Selb and I wanted go back to our roots in art education where we both...
