It’s been a while since I’ve blogged on Selb’s Series and I think many of you know by now that I’m expecting=) It’s been really rough especially the first trimester and it was the same time as shifting to our new place. Been wanting to share with you all my new little home but we took a while to fully do up the house. It was a yucky period of time, having to pack and unpack and being all nausea. Thank god its all over and I’m almost back to my normal self, Alhamdulillah!So here’s a little sneak peak of my inspiration. We wanted something minimal, clean with a touch of our personal style. Lucky we have Pinterest and qanvast, though after months settling down here, its quite difficult to get that “Pinterest” kinda home!
We fell in love with the nude shades, grey tones and the slight tinch of copper and navy blue. Having an idea and inspiration is one, but to follow through it was not as easy. Especially when you cannot find the exact shade of colour or that particular type of cushion cover. For me, the initial part of the renovation and the bigger picture was more manageable. When it came down to the small details like what to display on the planks, table tops, the type of vases, runner etc. Even finding nice photos for my frames were not easy. Managed to get some from etsy and the rest were my own traveling photos. I’m still not 100% happy with my home but my hubby thinks I’m being too overly obsessed! Here’s some parts of the home, will share more when I’m truly satisfied!
As you can see, some parts didn’t turn out exactly as how I’ve envisioned my home to be. Really digging the nude tones and I wished our local furniture and home deco kinda shops provide tasteful well designed products in the right shade of colour. And so, *hint hint* we’re gonna have a range of gorgeous nude printed shawls coming your way for our birthday month specials! Cant wait to show them to you guys!
