#LullysList | 2018 Prints Recap

It's the last #lullyslist for the year and it's time to revisit the prints we produced this year! We started 2018 by announcing our biggest collaboration with designer Naforrer for Commonwealth Fashion Exchange by EcoAge. We designed an evening wear- our interpretation of the Modern Malay Woman. Selb and I had a great time painting on Eucalyptus silk. We also applied wax crackle technique.

The lines from crackle wax effect was so lovely and satisfying to do that we made into a printed shawl.

I enjoy trying new mediums and was so excited to know about water based spray cans. It’s almost similar to diluted acrylic paint and Chinese ink. The best part of the Inkflow shawl got to be the speckled background.

Every year when it comes to designing for Eid collection, it can get quite overwhelming- planning for collection, fashion show and pop ups. Good stress I must say. Selb and I decided to bring the the prints from the Modern Malay Woman evening dress to our community. Inspired by batik, here are Neo florals prints for the Nona in you.

Come July it’s Founders day as Selb and my birthday are just one day apart. For the past year we released our signature Graphic shawl in nude and grey. This time round, we chose moody color palette. Do you own any of these Moody Graphics?

The month of August can only mean one thing here- Singapore’s National Day. We designed our own interpretation of our skyline, can you spot Merlion’s scales?

 What’s your favourite Singlish words?

We seek comfort in food. Illustrations of our local favourites in this Let’s Makan shawl.

Last year we introduced Sijun and it was a well loved collaboration. In September, we brought in another artist with special needs friend Shalom who enjoys painting with Chinese ink. Check out the vibrant prints from our #LSwith you campaign.

By now you would have noticed that we did alot of collaborations. The next one is a breath of fresh air. Together with Glow Co; a curated modest active wear, we designed prints for compression tights! It was well received and hope to design more active wear in years to come.

Lastly, we ended the year with #ReadyforResort collection. This time we introduced our prints  How do you like our geometric flamingos and hand drawn cacti?

We also relaunched our debut print- the Plant shawl in chiffon. Shop our collection of prints here.

Just so you know, we have churned new prints for the beginning of 2019 and currently working on new prints for Eid! Looking forward to an exciting year ahead!
